  4. This file contains important information regarding Easy Comm version 2.5.
  5. Please read it carefully.
  6.

  9. Easy Comm comes with the following files:
  10. - README.TXT: this file;
  11. - DESCRIPT.TXT: short description of Easy Comm for shareware distributors;
  12. - REGISTER.TXT: registration instructions;
  13. - FORM1.TXT: registration form for a single-computer registration;
  14. - FORM2.TXT: registration form for a multiple-computer and network
  15.   registration;
  16. - VENDOR.TXT: information for software distributors and BBS SysOps;
  17. - ECMANUAL.TXT: a text file containing the manual;
  18. - LICENSE.DOC: discription of Shareware concept, Warranty;
  19. - ECOMM.EXE: program file;
  20. - ECOMM.HLP: help file;
  21. - ECOMM.OVR: program file (overlayed code);
  22. - ECOMM.RES: Easy Comm resource file;
  23. - ECOMM.DSK: Easy Comm desktop file;
  24. - ECOMM.DIR: Easy Comm directory file;
  25. - ATT.BGI, CGA.BGI, EGAVGA.BGI, IBM8514.BGI, PC3270.BGI: graphics drivers.

  27. IMPORTANT NOTES:
  28. ================
  29. If you used any of the older versions of Easy Comm (< 2.5), make sure you have
  30. removed ecomm.opt and all ecomm.dsk files. The new options and desktop files
  31. are not compatible with the old ones. If you do not remove the old ecomm.opt
  32. and ecomm.dsk warning messages will be displayed: "Error reading Options
  33. file." and "Error reading Desktop file.".

  35. We recommend that you add Easy Comm directory to the PATH statement in your
  36. AUTOEXEC.BAT file e.g.:
  37. PATH=C:\DOS;C:\ECOMM;
  38.  
  39. For a better performance we recommend that you install expanded memory and
  40. a disk cache software if possible.
  41.  
  42. If you want to use a File|Run Spelling Checker command you must have a
  43. separate Spelling Checker program e.g. Share Spell by Acropolis Software.
